OG Club AGM & Dinner - Glasgow 2023

The OG Dinner was once again held in Glasgow, at the Corinthian Club on 27 January.  It was the first time that the West coast OGs have gathered since dreaded Covid spoiled everyones' fun and it was great to be together again.

The backdrop of the centrally located Corinthian Club with their quirky décor plus delicious food and attentive staff was a very complimentary setting for the dinner.  There were 30 of us in total, some familiar faces and some first time attendees with a scattering of staff and some Hon OGs as well. And wonderful to have all generations represented (the oldest present were at Coll in1948 and are still going strong!)

We were very fortunate to be joined on this occasion by the new Warden, Mark Mortimer, who after his brief but heartfelt speech (complete with a photo of himself and other OGs present taken in Rose Street in the 80s) made a point of going around the table to meet and talk to everyone.

What a lot of people love about the Glasgow dinner is the formal setting and attire but a very informal atmosphere and this one was no different.  A very jovial night was had by all and I hope we can keep the Glasgow dinners going.  They really are a fun affair.

Thank you to John Gordon for his help and wisdome throughout the planning stages and Ed and Judith at the Development Office.

Kasia Marshall

Glasgow Dinner Secretary
