Congratulations to OG, Archie Stephen (Patchells ’23), on his selection for the Scotland U23 Development Programme (SDP) Men's Squad for their upcoming two-match series against Ireland at Ulster University.
Archie has been named among a talented group of young players selected to represent Scotland as part of Scottish Hockey's development pathway, which aims to prepare emerging athletes for future senior international competition.
Hockey has long been a significant part of Archie's sporting journey. During his time at Glenalmond (and Craigclowan before that), he was a key member of the College's hockey programme, helping to continue the school's strong tradition in the sport. His passion for hockey began at a young age and has continued to flourish through dedication, hard work, and a commitment to developing his game.
The matches, which will take place on 20 and 21 June, will provide a fantastic opportunity for Archie and his teammates to test themselves against international opposition and continue their development on the international stage.
Selection for the Scotland U23 Development Programme is a significant achievement and recognition of the progress Archie has made since leaving Glenalmond. Everyone at Glenalmond is delighted to see Archie representing Scotland and wishes him every success in the upcoming fixtures. We are incredibly proud of his achievement and look forward to following his journey and future progress within the programme.
