We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Dr Grace D. Poulter, who died suddenly on 9th February 2024 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, surrounded by her loving family.

Dr Poulter served as Housemistress of Lothian at Glenalmond College from 1994 to 2000. She was a deeply respected and much-loved member of staff, known for her dedication, warmth, and the lasting care she showed to the pupils in her house.

Glenalmond was a central part of Grace’s life, not only through her work but also through her family. Her husband, Jeremy, and children, Katie and James, are all former pupils of the College, and she remained a cherished member of the Glenalmond community throughout her life.

A beloved mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she is greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass was held at St Mary’s R.C. Church on 1st March 2024, followed by a service at Greenock Crematorium.
