We are delighted to announce that two local charities have received £3000 each as a result this year’s highly successful Glenalmond Spring Ball.
While the total funds raised by the Ball exceeded this amount, SHIP (Support Help and Integration in Perthshire) and Tayside Mountain Rescue were chosen to receive donations. Representatives Elise Johnston from SHIP and Paul Russell from Tayside Mountain Rescue recently visited Glenalmond to meet with Spring Ball Committee member Jamie Landale.
Spring Ball Committee Chair, Jamie Landale, said: “We were determined that the Ball should not only be a fantastic evening for all involved, but also one that gave something back. It’s hugely rewarding to be able to support two local charities doing such important work, and I’m incredibly grateful to the committee, all the people who donated, and all who attended really getting into the spirit of things, and therefore making this possible.”
Paul Russell, from Tayside Mountain Rescue, welcomed the donation. He said: “We are incredibly grateful to receive this generous donation. Support like this makes a tangible difference to our ability to respond quickly and effectively in some of the most challenging environments in Scotland.”
Elise Johnston, speaking on behalf of SHIP, said: “This donation will make a real difference to the children, young people and families we support every day. We’re so grateful to the Glenalmond community for their generosity and for choosing to support our charity.”
We are proud that the Spring Ball was not only a memorable celebration but also a meaningful opportunity to support two local charities making a tangible impact.
