Glenalmond College has welcomed a two-tonne JCB excavator, generously loaned by global engineering company JCB, providing an exciting new hands-on learning resource for pupils from Second Form through to Sixth Form.
The excavator will be used across Art and Design Technology, Physics, and a range of interdisciplinary projects, allowing pupils to explore real-world applications of classroom learning. From understanding hydraulics and mechanical systems to inspiring innovation-led projects, architecture-focused design tasks, and supporting the launch of our Robotics Club, the machine will play a central role in broadening pupils’ technical and creative thinking.
This partnership reflects Glenalmond’s commitment to delivering an ambitious, industry-informed education, equipping pupils with the skills, curiosity and confidence to thrive in an increasingly technical world.
