A competitive multi-sport day for OGs, pupils, and parents

Join us at Glenalmond College for the inaugural Founders Sports Day, created to commemorate 4 May 1847-the day the College first opened its doors to pupils- in a fun, active way that brings the whole Glenalmond community together.

We hope this will become a much-loved annual tradition, honouring the College’s history, spirit, and strong sense of community.

How the Day Will Run

• Morning (8:30-12:30)
  • Cycling: Self-guided rides with a recommended route available. Participants ride at their own risk and discretion.
  • Golf: The course will be open for anyone wishing to play a casual round ahead of the afternoon competition. A café in the Theatre Foyer will be open for teas, coffees, and light refreshments.
     
• For those not taking part in the morning cycling or golf, we invite you to join us on site from 12:30 pm
   
• Registration (12:30- 1:00 pm)
  • Wristbands issued for participants, spectators, and premium sport add-ons.
     
• Refreshment tents open from 12:30 for water, squash, fruit, and snacks.

• Afternoon (from 1:00 pm)
  • Sports fixtures: Hockey, Tennis, Cricket (OG XI vs School XI), Golf competition (premium), and Target Shooting (premium).
  • Team sports will include mixed-age, mixed-experience participation where possible.
  • Prizes and mini-challenges will run throughout the afternoon for all sports.
     
• BBQ (15:30-17:30)
  • Food served continuously while the cricket match continues.
  • All attendees can enjoy lunch, snacks, and refreshments.

Tickets

• Participant Ticket (£25)- includes sports (excluding golf and shooting- £5 surcharge for these activities), and BBQ.
• Spectator Lunch Ticket (£15)- BBQ + refreshments
• Child Ticket (under 12, £10)- BBQ + refreshments

Participants must also complete a registration form after purchasing their tickets to select their sport(s) and indicate any dietary requirements or medical information. 

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
