Introduction

The Rifle Club has been in existence for many years and includes among its members several current International shots and a much larger body of former Internationals.

It is approved by the Home Office and is affiliated with the National Rifle Association and the Scottish Rifle Association.

Target rifle shooting is one of very few sports in which men and women compete on equal terms. Furthermore, it is a sport in which youth and age are no bar to competition or team selection. The club sponsors college pupils and OGs under the age of 25 in full-time education competing in the Imperial Meeting at Bisley.

For anyone leaving Coll or young OGs intending to maintain an interest in full- or small-bore target rifle shooting, membership of the OG Rifle Club is strongly recommended. Please contact Simon Glen via the 'Contact us' icon below.

The club organises the following shoots each year:

  • Winter - Small-bore match V Coll at Glenalmond
  • Spring - Full-bore individual competitions at Blair Atholl and Bisley at which the Club Championship is held in  even years
  • May - Full-bore match V Coll at Blair Atholl
  • July - Schools Veterans match at Bisley (usually three teams of five shooters)
  • July - Imperial Meeting at Bisley at which the Club Championship is held in odd years
  • Autumn - Full-bore individual competitions at Blair Atholl and Bisley
