OG Golf Society

Welcome

Established in 1933, the Old Glenalmond Golfing Society allows enthusiastic alumni- of all golfing abilities (or none!)- to remain connected through the sport and the school.

The Society hosts a full calendar of events across the UK, from the Annual Weekend in October at The Golf House Club, Elie, to summer fixtures at Royal Wimbledon, and annual matches against the College and other former-pupil societies like Sedbergh and Loretto. Members also participate in major tournaments including the Halford Hewitt, Grafton Morrish, Cyril Gray, Anniesland Trophy, Loretto Foursomes, Royal Wimbledon Putting, and the Scottish Wayfarers- a rich variety of fixtures offering both competition and friendship.

As a Society, OGGS fosters camaraderie and participation- not just wins. They also sponsor a golf scholarship at the College, supporting talented young golfers through school and beyond. Notably, Ladies European Tour player Carly Booth was the first recipient. The Society has contributed to improvements to the course and to Glenalmond’s new modern Golf Hub facility, featuring simulators and indoor training areas.
