OG Golf Society

Welcome to the OG Golf Society

Established in 1933, the Old Glenalmond Golfing Society (OGGS) enables enthusiastic alumni of all golfing abilities (or none!) to stay connected through both the sport and the College.

The Society hosts a full calendar of fixtures across the UK, from the Annual Weekend each October at The Golf House Club, Elie, to summer events at Royal Wimbledon, as well as annual matches against the College and fellow former-pupil societies including Sedbergh and Loretto. Members also compete in some of amateur golf's most prestigious tournaments, including the Halford Hewitt, Grafton Morrish, Cyril Gray, Anniesland Trophy, Loretto Foursomes, Royal Wimbledon Putting Competition and the Scottish Wayfarers. Together, these events offer a fantastic mix of competitive golf, friendship and lifelong connections.

At its heart, OGGS is about participation, camaraderie and supporting the Glenalmond community. The Society sponsors a golf scholarship at the College, helping talented young golfers develop both during their time at Glenalmond and beyond. Ladies European Tour player Carly Booth was the scholarship's first recipient. Over the years, the Society has also contributed to improvements to the College golf course and, more recently, to Glenalmond's state-of-the-art Golf Hub, complete with simulators and indoor coaching facilities.
